The FutureDreams event is a result of a strong desire by Danielle Leslie (diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2005 at the age of 35) and her mother Sylvie Henry(also diagnosed at a very young age), both of whom are now brave breast cancer survivors, to do something specific to try and raise money towards breast cancer research and treatment. They are passionate about giving something back.

As qualified dance and performing arts teachers and having worked with children and within the theatre for many years, they decided that a “One Night Only” West End Variety show involving professionals and young people was the way forward to raise a substantial amount for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

However, it was soon apparent that to achieve maximum success with such a mammoth project help would be needed. They had begin planning and assembling a team when there came some devastating news. Sylvie was diagnosed with primary lung cancer. It is inoperable and incurable but hopefully treatable with more chemotherapy.

She was utterly determined to go ahead and focused hard on achieving her goal – to raise money for breast cancer research and to realise some young people’s dream of performing on a West End stage, but most importantly of all to have a purpose for which to fight for her life.
